Every truck watched.
Every decision yours.
An in-vehicle unit that acts the moment something is wrong — it starts the cameras, messages the driver and raises the alarm. Your operator sees the truck, its route and live video on one map, and decides what happens next.
RTAK Fleet and the A-BOX Mobile unit are in development, coming November 2026, and are not available yet. They are built on RTAK Server, which ships today.
Cargo theft has become organized crime.
Thieves go after the truck itself, and more than one theft in five has help from the inside. The sooner someone with authority sees what is happening, the more options they still have.
- North American losses, 2025
- US$6.6B
- More incidents than 2024
- +18%
- Thefts that target trucks
- ~70%
- Thefts with inside help
- 22%

The unit acts. Your operator decides.
Everything that can safely happen on its own happens at once. Everything that commits people — police, a tow truck, a call to the driver — waits for a person who can see the whole picture.
-
Trigger
The unit watches the rules you set: geofences, the planned route, stop time, driving time, harsh events, the panic button and its own power.
-
Automatically
It starts recording and streaming the cameras, messages the driver’s phone, and raises an alert in RTAK with a recommended action.
-
Operator decides
The operator sees the truck, its route and live video on one map, and chooses: police with exact GPS and a live video link, roadside assistance, a call to the driver, or dismiss with a reason.
-
Safety net
If nobody responds in time, the alert escalates to a backup operator. Nothing is dropped, and nothing calls emergency services on its own.
Seven situations, one playbook.
A truck leaves its route.
Simulated. Nothing is dialed or sent.
The unit that lives in the truck.
A fixed Android unit from the team that built A-BOX. It speaks the TAK protocol, so every truck appears in RTAK like any other unit.
- Hardwired, fixed Android unit
- LTE, GPS and motion sensors for crash detection
- Road-facing and cabin cameras
- Hidden panic button for the driver
- Backup battery, power-cut and tamper detection
- Stores events offline, sends them when signal returns
Design targets, not a datasheet: specifications will change as the unit is built and validated. The cabin camera is used under your company’s driver-privacy policy.
Your server. Your operator. Your call.

RTAK Fleet adds the vehicle unit and the rules. The map, the video and the operator’s tools are RTAK Server, already running on customers’ own machines.

Three promises
- Emergency calls are operator-confirmed. The system never calls police or 911 by itself.
- Drivers know what is recorded. The cabin camera follows your driver-privacy policy.
- Not an ELD. Driving-time alerts are advisory and work alongside your certified ELD.
