Howidely was founded in the middle of a global disruption, for organizations that were not allowed to pause. That origin still defines how we scope, build and ship.
Howidely opened its doors in April 2020 with a narrow, urgent mandate: build hardware and software fast enough to let mission-critical teams and enterprises keep operating while their buildings emptied. The first engagements were measured in weeks, not quarters.
Control rooms, test benches and field equipment had to become reachable from anywhere without loosening security. Howidely delivered remote access layers, hardened Linux baselines, remote hardware test rigs and automated provisioning that turned physical labs and dispatch positions into distributed ones.
A-BOX shipped as a fully customizable appliance: unattended automation of repetitive computer work, secure VPN on the local server, 4 TB of local storage and fail-safe mode with 24/7 script monitoring that emails on interruption. It proved the pattern Howidely still builds on — put the compute where the work is and make it report for itself.
Enterprise continuity work matured into dedicated public safety engineering: TAK server deployments, CAD and dispatch integrations, UAV downlink fusion and interoperability between agencies that had never shared a common operating picture before.
Current focus: putting the ATAK common operating picture in a browser. Live device map and roster, QR-based enrollment, team chat shared with the handhelds, live video and IP cameras with recording, track playback and viewer/operator/admin roles — everything a shift supervisor needs without installing a tactical client.
A-BOX was Howidely's inaugural platform — built in 2020 for rapid remote deployment and encrypted operational connectivity. When offices emptied, it was the unit you shipped to a desk, plugged into a wall outlet, and left alone: a fully customizable appliance that ran the repetitive work unattended, held the data locally, and kept a secure link open — while emailing you the moment anything stopped.
Small footprint, sleek enough to sit quietly at a workstation. Plug it into a power outlet and it performs whatever task it is programmed to do — including running a secure VPN on the local server so the site stays reachable without exposing it.

Anderson is a multilingual engineering executive with more than two decades spanning telecommunications, unmanned aerial systems, mission-critical connectivity, Linux and Python automation, and hardware validation. He founded Howidely in April 2020 to close a gap he had seen repeatedly from the inside: hardware teams and software teams solving adjacent halves of the same problem, with the operator left to bridge the difference.
His background includes senior engineering leadership at Dejero, where resilient bonded connectivity for broadcast and public safety is the core product; Teledyne FLIR, working across sensing and unmanned platforms; and BlackBerry, in secure enterprise systems. That path — carrier-grade transport, airborne sensing, and hardened endpoint security — maps directly onto what public safety agencies now need in a single stack.
He holds an MBA alongside his engineering practice, and leads Howidely engagements personally from architecture through field commissioning.
